Summer's Coming

Just sitting in bed thinking about the coming months. Just found out my oldest has ANOTHER week off in May then it'll be summer before you know it.
Memorial weekend is a big one for us. It's the birthday weekend for my husband and my youngest son so we usually have a big party up in the country. We're trying to get our free pool up and running by then. Thank God for Craigslist.com! We got a free, YES FREE, swimming pool that measures 12x20 so this is the project for the next few weeks - leveling the land, putting up the pool, figuring out what we need to get it in shape, filling it and then enjoying it!
After that, one more month of school then school's out for summer in the immortal words of Alice Cooper. We're going to Florida in August. I know I know..Florida in August is suicide but it's my sister's 60th *gulp* birthday and we want to be there to share it. I'm looking forward to being there but not the trip itself. We drive there because I DO NOT fly. So 20+ hours in the car with 2 tweenagers, my husband and our dog. Fun fun fun!
I really am so lucky that I stay at home and have this time with the boys though. I think about that all the time. I may piss and moan about them but they truly are the lights of my life and this summer should be a lot of fun with them.
